This time of year, the pressure to do more creeps in: holiday planning, school routines, busy schedules, “finishing strong” energy. But one of the best things you can do for your health, sleep, and nervous system is to slow your pace intentionally. Even five-minute pauses between tasks, or 10 minutes of quiet in the evening can shift your whole rhythm.

Try this:
Pick one transition in your day, maybe between work and home, dinner and bedtime, or weekend and weekday. Create a short routine to mark the shift. A walk, a shower, a journal check-in, or simply stepping outside to breathe.

Why October is the Best Time to Reset (Not January)

Everyone talks about the “new year” as a time to start over, but by then, many of us are already burned out.

October offers something softer.
It’s a quiet middle. A liminal space. A moment to look at how your routines, rhythms, and responsibilities are actually working (or not working) for the life you have right now.
