What Would Make Your Life 10% Easier?

We tend to think improving our lives means adding something.

Exercise more. Drink more water. Cook more. Sleep more. Journal. Meditate. Meal prep. Organize the house. Set better boundaries.

The list is endless.

And honestly? Sometimes the last thing you need is one more thing to do. Instead, try asking yourself a different question:

What would make my life 10% easier?

Not perfect. Not dramatically different. Just 10% easier.

Maybe it’s buying the pre-cut vegetables instead of deciding you’re going to start meal prepping every Sunday.

Maybe it’s going to bed 30 minutes earlier instead of trying to completely overhaul your sleep routine.

Maybe it’s putting a laundry basket exactly where clothes tend to end up instead of repeatedly reminding everyone to put their clothes away.

Maybe it’s saying no to something you don’t actually have the capacity for.

Maybe it’s making the same five easy dinners on rotation because you don’t need to reinvent dinner every night.

Maybe it’s asking someone for help.

Maybe it’s finally making the appointment you’ve been putting off.

Maybe it’s letting something be good enough.

Easier isn’t lazy.

I think we sometimes confuse making life easier with taking the easy way out. But reducing unnecessary effort is not laziness. It’s smart.

Every little bit of friction in your day takes something from you. A decision. A few minutes. A little patience. A little energy. And when you’re already stretched thin, all of those little things add up.

So instead of asking yourself:

“What else should I be doing?”

Try asking:

“What could I make easier?”

Could you remove something? Delegate something? Automate something? Simplify something? Stop doing something? Change the way you’re doing something?

You don’t have to earn rest by exhausting yourself first.

You don’t have to make healthy living complicated to make it meaningful. And you don’t need to completely reinvent your life to feel better in it.

Try this today

Take a look at your day, your home, your schedule, or your health. Ask yourself:

What feels unnecessarily hard right now?

Then choose just one thing. Make it 10% easier. That’s it.

Because a healthier life isn’t necessarily a more disciplined, productive, or optimized life. Sometimes it’s simply a life with a little less friction. And sometimes that little bit of extra space is exactly what you need to rest, reset, and rise.

Your healthier life doesn’t have to be harder.
